Nallikari Lighthouse
Nallikari, home to stunning sunsets, is home to a lighthouse that is a firm favourite in countless holiday photos. Completed in 1988, this elegant landmark was designed by architects from a school of architecture called the Oulu School of Architecture. The tower is a great place to take photographs, enjoy the sea views or watch the stars at night. Take a walk at the foot of the lighthouse, take selfies and relax by the calm sea. At sunset, the lighthouse beckons romance seekers.
In summer, the lighthouse overlooks the pearly white beach area as the area is filled with sun worshippers from Nallikari, also known as the Nordic Riviera. In winter, the observation deck is the perfect place to admire locals, fitness skiers, fatbike riders and speedy kite-skiers who spend hours on the icy sea bed. As dusk falls, the lucky visitor can catch a glimpse of the colourful Northern Lights flitting across the sky.
